Health Care Community Discussion

In the first part of December, the Obama-Biden Transition Team invited people across the country to hold community discussions prior to December 31st to give grassroots input on health care reform.

On Sunday, December 28th, approximately 250 people met at the Southwest Institute for the Healing Arts (SWIHA) in Tempe. We compiled the comments from that public meeting. We also received written correspondence electronically. If you attended the meeting, you will remember seeing the "Participant Survey" posted on large sheets of paper in the room. We have now tabulated those responses.

All this material was uploaded December 31st to the Obama-Biden administration's website. It is also posted here (see links below).

Many thanks to the Southwest Institute for the Healing Arts in Tempe who provided us with meeting rooms and staff to organize the event. Many thanks to Sprouts Market for providing food and beverages. Many thanks to all who got the invitation and passed it along to others. And thanks to all of you who weighed in with comments and letters; thanks for making the most of the opportunity.
