BREAST CANCER SCREENING

Modern thermography can detect the formation of potentially cancerous tissue years before mammography. And better yet, it uses no cancer-causing radiation and no painful compression of tissue (ouch!). Cancer cells are in the body 10-20 years before they become large enough to see or feel. When a tumor is forming, it develops its own blood supply to feed its accelerated growth. Pre-cancerous tissues can start this process well in advance of the cells becoming malignant. Thermography measures the skin's autonomic response to that inflammation – its "heat signature." Thermography is a non-invasive, fifteen minute test. Unlike mammography, thermography has no problem with dense or fibrous breasts, or implants. $250

HYPNOSIS AND GUIDED IMAGERY

Want to quit smoking? Want to stop being anxious? Experience the success of guided imagery and hypnosis. Studies increasingly show that hypnosis is the most effective way to stop smoking. Studies suggest the success rates of trying to quit without help is about 5%, using behavior therapy about 25% and using Nicotine Replacement Products is about 25%. Hypnosis is commonly used to resolve anxiety because hypnosis has such a clear role as a potent anti-anxiety agent. $250

METABOLIC SYNDROME TEST

Too many years of eating starchy carbs and sugary foods can set the stage for a pre-diabetic situation called metabolic syndrome and, of course, full blown diabetes type 2. To find out how you stand, we run a fasting blood sugar & insulin test, and a comprehensive blood evaluation. OSTEOPOROSIS

Are you breaking down bone faster than you are building it? A simple urine test will tell you. Bone is a very active tissue, undergoing constant "remodeling," a process of both formation and resorption. Net loss of bone mass occurs when the resorption rate exceeds the rate of formation of new bone. The Bone Resorption Assay detects biochemical markers, called collagen cross-links, which reflect present remodeling activity. Elevated levels of urinary collagen cross-links indicate that you are losing bone mass. We give you the test kit, then meet with you 2-3 weeks later to go over the results and what to do if you are losing bone mass. $250
