Services:

Woman's Wellness Exam – An annual exam that starts with a medical history covering issues of diet and lifestyle. Includes a head-to-toe physical exam, pap smear, rectal exam, breast exam, check for sexually transmitted infections, and counseling for contraception and menopause.

Teenage Woman Wellness Exam – Young women can make good decisions when given factual information. We discuss how sexually transmitted infections occur, how to avoid both infections and pregnancy, and the urban myths of how to prevent conception. No value judgments, just information.

Mid-Life Services – Hormones can begin fluctuating while we are still in our 30s. Issues can involve vaginal atrophy, changes in libido, painful intercourse.

Bioidentical Hormones – These are biologically the same as what our own body produces, so there are fewer side effects than with synthetic hormones. Hormone replenishment is not just about the sex hormones – estrogens, progesterone, testosterone – but also DHEA, cortisol, and thyroid hormones.

Thermography – Breast disease screening. Thermography is a safer alternative to the radiation and compression of mammography.

Breast Health – Self breast exams, minimizing trauma to the breast, the energetic problems with underwire bras, what is normal discharge, fibrocystic breast disease, the dietary impacts of caffeine and vitamin E.

Breast Implants – how to care for them, how to screen for breast disease if you have implants, how to recognize and test for allergy to silicone, the role of thermography.

Osteoporosis Prevention – An important part of the Wellness Exam revolves around preventing osteoporosis. We talk about weight-bearing exercises, diet, vitamin D. We have a simple urine test that can measure if you are breaking down bone faster than you are building it up.

HCG Weight Loss – We use a homeopathic version of the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin hormone for weight loss. It works much better than diet and exercise alone because it disrupts the fat cell membrane. As the cell is eliminated, the calories stored in it are released into the bloodstream. That is why you do not feel very hungry or need to eat as much food on this regimen. We recognize that this method of weight loss is a tool to start making a change. We work with you regarding detoxification as you lose weight, and give you a plan for a whole food diet to implement for the future.
