Gayle is a nationally certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and holds a subspecialty certification as a Menopause Clinician. As a Nurse Practitioner, she is able to assess and evaluate as well as diagnose and prescribe.Services: Woman's Wellness Exam - An annual exam that starts with a medical history covering issues of diet and lifestyle. Includes a head-to-toe physical exam, Pap smear, rectal exam, breast exam, check for sexually transmitted infections, and counseling for contraception and menopause. Teenage Woman Wellness Exam - Young women can make good decisions when given factual information. We discuss how sexually transmitted infections occur, how to avoid both infections and pregnancy, and the urban myths of how to prevent conception. No value judgments, just information. Mid-Life Services - Hormones can begin fluctuating while we are still in our 30s. Issues can involve vaginal atrophy, changes in libido, painful intercourse. Bioidentical Hormones - These are biologically the same as what our own body produces, so there are fewer side effects than with synthetic hormones. New in the Library We regularly post new articles in our website Library. To strive for health, we have to educate ourselves, look beyond the messages thrown at us every day in the mainstream media. Look at what we have to say about the root causes of a whole range of chronic illnesses from diabetes to skin cancer, from arthritis to memory issues.It was hard to miss the fireworks over the new recommendations for less mammography screening. Of course, you know I firmly believe thermography is a better breast cancer screening tool.
